The University of Tetovo and the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia continue to preserve and promote the tradition of cooperation

The rector of the University of Tetovo, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, held a working meeting with the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, PhD. Sait Saiti. On this occasion, the rector emphasized that the University of Tetovo, in addition to its educational and scientific activities, has always collaborated with other institutions in our country and beyond, as well as with various local and international organizations.

The rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, also highlighted that the Red Cross in North Macedonia has played an important role in providing humanitarian aid, including the distribution of food, clothing, medicines, and assistance to those affected by natural disasters, as well as those in difficult social conditions. The University of Tetovo has always responded to the calls of the Red Cross in various humanitarian actions in the past and will always be ready to contribute with the resources and capacities it possesses to help.

The Secretary General of the Red Cross, PhD. Sait Saiti, mentioned that this year, the Red Cross in the Republic of North Macedonia is marking a jubilee year, the 80th anniversary of its foundation, and a series of activities will be carried out to make this anniversary more monumental. A debate is also planned to be organized in cooperation with the University of Tetovo, where discussions will focus on the activities of the Red Cross and the expression of humanitarianism in general.

Among other things, the rector of the University of Tetovo, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, and the Secretary General of the Red Cross, PhD. Sait Saiti, also discussed the realization of several other activities in the future, aimed at involving students in humanitarian actions.
